Biographical sketch

Mary Gallagher Cristo was a professor of Sociology and Anthropology at Longwood College from 1969-1985. She received her B.S. and M.A. from the University of Virginia in 1965 and 1969. In 1975 she completed her doctoral work at the University in Virginia and received a PhD in Sociology.

Scope and content

This collection contain drafts of Dr. Cristo's 1975 dissertation, Factors Influencing Career Mobility and Career Attainment of Women in the Field of Education.
