Biographical/Historical Information
Organized in November 1825 as the Baptist Church of Christ at Chaney's Chapel. Sometime prior to July 1833, the name was changed to Shiloh.
Scope and Content Information
These minutes cover the period from November 1825 to 15 March 1873. They record in detail the church's concern with the problems of the times, such as the question of foreign missions, the tragedy of the Civil War, and matters related to black members after the war. Membership lists appear on page 7 (members who organized the church at Chaney's Chapel), and 240-351 (1825-1873).
