Post office worker in Columbia, Tennessee. Letter written May 12, 1861, to his brother, W.I.A. Estes, in Corinth, Tennessee. Writes of the confusion in switching the postal system from Federal to Confederate and rumors that the Union army intends to tear up the railroad.
