Union soldier in the Civil War. Letter written April 26, 1865, from Berkley's Station, Virginia, to Mrs. A. E. Young. Tells Mrs. Young that reports of him getting killed are false, and were probably created by the Copperheads, or Northern Democrats who opposed the Union's war policy.
