Scope and Content

Union general in the Civil War. Letter from Capt. B.F. Harris of the 11th Regiment Battalion, from a camp near Fletcher's Chapel, Virginia, in February 1863, endorsed by Hooker from the headquarters of the Army of the Potomac in Washington, D.C. Letter concerns soldiers captured at Manassas Junction in August 1862, taken prisoners, paroled in January 1863, and reenlisted with Hooker.
