Biographical Note
Herbert Fletcher Harrelson was born July 19, 1901 in Richmond, Virginia and died January 25, 1977 in Charlotte, North Carolina. In 1920, Harrelson graduated from John Marshall High School. He attended VPI from 1920-1922. Harrelson was married to Sarah Wilkins, born 1899 and died May 7, 1975.
Scope and Content
The collection contains an unbound photograph album with 12 leaves, generally with photographs on both sides. The photographs show images from Harrelson's time at Virginia Agricultural and Mechanical College and Polytechnic Institute, dating from 1919-1922. There are handwritten dates on some of the leaves and photographs as well as labels for the pictures.
