Biographical Note
Felix Sebba (November 21,1912-June 14, 1989) was a Professor of Chemical Engineering (1979-1989) at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. A native of Cape Town, South Africa, he taught for twenty-two years at the University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg. Sebba was a fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry and the Chemical Society and the discoverer of and expert on aphrons. He authored Foams and Biliquid Foams- Aphrons, and was published in a number of scientific journals.
Scope and Content
The collection consists primarily of materials concerning Felix Sebba's research into the uses of aphrons and other foams from 1979 to 1989. Materials include correspondence, notes on research, and both published and unpublished papers.
Arrangement
The collection is arranged in subject files as it was donated to Special Collections. During processing, subject files were organized alphabetically.
