Biographical Note
Lingan Strother Randolph taught Mechanical Engineering at Virginia Agricultural and Mechanical College and Polytechnic Institute (now Virignia Tech) from 1893-1918. From 1913-1918, he served as the dean of the Engineering department. He helped design a number of buildings on the VPI campus, as well as for other institutions.
Scope and Content
The collections includes papers with specifications for the details of labor and materials for the installation of a steam heating system at Sweet Briar Institute, Amherst, Virginia.
