The processing, arrangement, and description of the Conrad C. Badger Letter commenced and was completed in 1989. Additional description was completed before 2008 and in February 2010.
Scope and Content
The collection contains a letter from a Union soldier, Conrad C. Badger, in the Civil War writing his mother from Nashua, New Hampshire. Badger writes that he intends to enlist in the 6th New Hampshire Regiment as a nurse after trying to get positions with surgeons in two other regiments. Records indicate that Badger was at one point a private with Company I.
