Biographical Information

Fani Hansen completed her graduate work in design and town planning at the Ecole National Des Beaux Arts and in Graz Austria. Hansen worked in Paris at the Office of R. Creveaux and J. Tessier as Chief Designer before moving to San Francisco and starting her own firm, Hansen Associates. Hansen's specialties include educational, healthcare, commercial and residential, for clients such as University of California, California State University and Colleges, and school districts in California, Nevada and Alaska.

Hansen has had exhibitions in San Francisco, Seattle, and in France and Germany. In 1980 Hansen was given the Award of Honor for Design Excellence, first place in an annual Energy Conservation Competition sponsored by PG&E, Sacramento Municipal Utility District and Electric and Gas Industries Association.

Scope and Content

The Fani Hansen Architectural papers consists of a resume, and information sheet for Hansen Architects. Also included is an article about the Rockaway Rehabilitation that Hansen completed, and an information sheet for the restoration of a clock that Hansen completed.
