Scope and Content Information

There is a letter, December 14, 1952, from Harden de V. Pratt, Tappahannock, Virginia, to Mary Fenhagen, Baltimore, Maryland, concerning the restoration of St. Peter's Episcopal Church in New Kent County, Virginia, along with a sketch of the west elevation of the original church before the tower was built, and five black and white photographs of the restored tower. Mr. Pratt was the restoration architect for the St. Peter's Church Restoration Association. In his letter, Pratt refers to a booklet about the church restoration [ St. Peter's Episcopal Church, New Kent County, Virginia Rare Books Division BX5980.N5 S14 1952], and writes of "the authentic archeological discoveries" that he made and mentions that "there are plenty of romantic stories about the church."
