Abstract
In February 1947, WCHS-TV out of Charleston, West Virginia, broadcast a series of radio programs about West Virginia University.
Collection consists of several items related to these programs, including a transcript of the program introduction, an outline
of issues discussed, a transcript of the program's conclusion, and a transcript of the response by the university's president,
Irving Stewart. Stewart discusses the importance of the university for the future of the state, the need to retain bright
students and faculty, and the importance of financial support for the institution. The series consisted of programs about
the school's personnel, physical plant, curriculum, and student life and services. Please note that the collection does not
contain transcripts of these individual programs.
