Records regarding William McPeck, a 3rd West Virginia Infantry Regiment Private from Morgantown, who helped to carry President
Lincoln from the Ford Theater after the President was shot by John Wilkes Booth on April 14, 1865. Collection includes a Dominion
Post article (26 October 1955), an undated photographic portrait of McPeck, and photocopies of census records from 1910 and
1920.
