Papers of Mrs. Anna Santore DeLancy, social worker and resident of Uniontown, Pennsylvania; Morgantown, West Virginia; and
Detroit, Michigan. Includes personal scrapbooks, correspondence, Jackson's Mill scrapbook, Bethany College seminar scrapbook,
autograph books, a recipe book, photographs, church programs, playbills, musical programs, newspaper clippings, pamphlets,
maps, diplomas, certificates, and ticket stubs. Subjects include World War II and Detroit, Michigan. World War II materials
relate to: Lieutenant Henry Kovacs, a soldier from Detroit; political campaigns of Dewey and Roosevelt; inauguration and presidency
of Roosevelt; women on the home front during WWII, Women's Army Auxiliary Corps (WAACS); employment opportunities at the Chrysler
Corporation; and political cartoons. Materials relating to Detroit include: race-relations, 'The Playgoer' (magazine), 'The
Hudsonian' (magazine), Dodge Community House, Delray (community of Detroit), Evangeline Residence, the Fruehauf Boarding School,
and Camp Kiwanis. The collection also contains material related to South Union High School in Uniontown, Pennsylvania and
Phi Chi Delta (Presbyterian Sorority).
