Abstract
The correspondence and legal papers of a Barbour County farmer and inventor. Hamrick discovered, patented and marketed an
embalming fluid using conveniently available, non-poisonous chemicals which made the practice of undertaking safer and less
costly. He also developed improved methods of food preservation, particularly "in the manufacture and preservation of butter."
