Muster roll of the Second Virginia Volunteer Cavalry, Company G (later the Second West Virginia Cavalry) kept by Captain Jasper A. Smith and Lieutenant Joseph Ankrom. The muster roll documents payments to members of the company, including explanations of back pay or any other discrepancies. The muster roll also includes remarks about company discipline and the condition of munitions and personal effects, most frequently uniforms30 December 1862-28 February 1863
