Scope and Content
This collection includes an undated Notice of Temperance Meetings. The meeting was held by Rev. J. W. West, of Richmond, Virginia, Field Secretary of the Anti-Saloon League of Virginia. The notice includes a list of subjects discussed by West and testimonials praising his work and past speeches. Testimonials were mostly written by other religious leaders, but there is one from an ex-saloon keeper. Based on one testimonial that includes a date, this notice was probably written sometime between Oct. 14, 1903 and 1909.
