HAT Color: black with yellow tassel Condition: good, some discoloring on inside Special Markings: inside reads: Oak Hall Cap and Gown Co. Roanoke, Virginia, 7 5/8 in front of cap

GOWN Color: black Material: [cotton] Condition: good Special Markings: black [velvet] strip on either side of opening, three black velvet strips on each sleeve, velvet strips come to a point in the back. Material gathered starting midway on the front where sleeve is connected to body, goes over the shoulder then crosses the back to meet itself. It forms an almost rectangle in the back. A black braided cord comes out of the collar then extends down to where the gathered material crosses the back. Where this intersection occurs, a black cloth covered button holds the braided material down. Label reads: Oak Hall Cap and Gown Co. Roanoke VA "Serving the Nation" Size 58.

HOOD Condition: some discoloration and stain where it was on the hanger Special Markings: Blue velvet strip encircles opening, burgundy and orange [satin] strips on inside, black cotton makes up the rest. A small black cord is sewn into the material at the thin section of the hood (this can be used for hanging it up). Label inside the [hood]: Oak Hall Cap and Gown Co. Roanoke, VA "Serving the South"
