The Sallie Leeper Scott Letter is written April 15 and 16, 1865, to Robert Barnett of the Chief Carpenter Shop in Washington, D.C., from Scott in Lower Chanceford Township, York County, Pennsylvania. Biographical Note

Sallie Leeper Scott (1847-1926) of Lower Chanceford, Pennsylvania, was the daughter of John Scott and Sallie Norris. She married Robert J. Barnett (1844-1905), and they are buried in Pine Grove Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Airville, Pennsylvania.
