Abstract
Eben P. Wolcott (ca. 1844-1863) was a soldier, rising the rank of Corporal, in the 28th Regiment Connecticut Volunteers, Company E, during the American Civil War. The Eben P. Wolcott Correspondence consists of letters to Wolcott from his family, discussing the Battle of Fredericksburg (December 1862), the death of Stonewall Jackson (May 1863), and the inflation caused by the war.

Biographical Note

Eben P. Wolcott (ca. 1844-1863) was a soldier, rising the rank of Corporal, in the 28th Regiment Connecticut Volunteers, Company E, during the American Civil War. He died of ilness contracted during the war at the age of 19 and is buried in Town Hill Cemetery, Salisbury, Connecticut.
