Charles H. Gray (1840-1862) was a Union soldier, who rose to the rank of Corporal, in Company C, 4th Ohio Volunteer Infantry Regiment during the American Civil War. The Charles H. Gray Letter is to his brother, July 13-14, 1861, giving an account of his part in the Union advance on Beverly, Virginia (now West Virginia), and a report on the Battle of Rich Mountain.

Biographical Note

Charles H. Gray (1840-1862) was a Union soldier, who rose to the rank of Corporal, in Company C, 4th Ohio Volunteer Infantry Regiment during the American Civil War. He died at Harper's Ferry and is buried in the Fletcher Cemetery, Fletcher, Ohio.
