Abstract
The collection contains a videotape of Admiral Beverly Coleman giving a lecture on his grandfather Col. John Singleton Mosby (1833-1916), a Confederate ranger, born in Powhatten County, Virginia. Mosby enlisted in the cavalry for the Confederacy in the Civil War, and participated in the Bull Run campaign. He later practiced law in Warrenton.

Biographical Note

Admiral Beverly Coleman is the grandson of Col. John Singleton Mosby (1833-1916), a Confederate ranger, born in Powhatten County, Virginia. Mosby enlisted in the cavalry for the Confederacy in the Civil War, and participated in the Bull Run campaign. He later practiced law in Warrenton, Virginia, and published  Mosby's War Reminiscences and Stuart's Cavalry Campaigns  (1887).
