Biographical / Historical
Barbara E. Nailler was a founding member and president of the Morgantown, West Virginia chapter of the National Organization for Women (NOW) and was the West Virginia state coordinator for NOW. She campaigned for the Equal Rights Amendment which was not ratified by the legally required number of states. A Michigan native, Barbara's degrees are in biology, science education, and educational psychology.
After moving to Morgantown with her husband Harvey, she was a professor of educational psychology at Fairmont State College (now University). Together, she and her husband opened Wolf's Heads Books in Morgantown in 1980. The antiquarian bookstore is now located in Florida.

There is also a list that identifies those who signed the ERA poster, including Ellie Smeal, president of National Organization for Women (NOW); Hazel Hunkins Hallinan, a 1917 White House suffragist protestor; Eleanor Holmes Norton, U. S. House of Representatives; Bella Abzug, co-founder of National Women's Political Caucus; Margaret Heckler, U. S. Secretary of Health and Human Services (in office from 1983-1985); and Sandra Porter, march coordinator.
