Abstract
Original photographs of construction of Cheat Lake Dam in Monongalia County, West Virginia. Planning and development of the
hydro plant began in 1910, but was stalled around the time of World War I. Construction resumed in 1925, the first water flowed
over the dam on December 23, 1925, and it began its operation on May 31, 1926.
