The Clyde Kessler Papers were donated to Special Collections in 1991.

The processing, arrangement, and description of the Clyde Kessler Papers commenced and was completed in 1991. Additional description was completed in June 2009.
Biographical Note
Clyde Kessler is a poet and naturalist in southwest Virginia, who worked at Virginia Tech University Libraries.
Scope and Content
The collection includes a list of birds, "Philpott Reservoir Christmas Bird Count," dated 1990, and a list of butterflies, "Butterflies Observed Along the Little River during Summer 1991." The butterfly list is signed by Clyde Kessler.
