previous hitMecklenburg next hit previous hitCounty next hit was named for Charlotte of previous hitMecklenburg next hit-Strelitz, consort of King George III. It was formed from Lunenburg previous hitCounty next hit in 1764. The previous hitcounty next hit court first met on 11 March 1765.

Created in 1764. Numerous loose records prior to 1783 are missing. Volumes that record deeds, court orders, and wills exist.

These records typically include the following; bonds, appraisements, audits, inventories, accounts, estate divisions, settlements, dowery records, etc. Information related to enslaved people are commonly found in these records.

This collection largely consists of Administrators' Bond; Executors' Bonds; Inventories; Accounts of Sale; and Appraisements.
