Amelia County was formed in 1734 from Brunswick and Prince George counties.
Scope and Content
Amelia County (Va.) Plan of the new courthouse, 1767, is a one page drawing and specifications for the Amelia County courthouse.
Also included is a short report from 1992 detailing conservation work done on the plan by the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts. The report includes four slides of the plan before and after conservation was done.
