Biographical/Historical Information
Organized in 1788 in Prince George County. Originally known as Davenport Church. In 1800, that church disbanded, and the black members formed Sandy Beach Church in Petersburg. Scope and Content Information
These minutes cover the period 4 February 1815 to 15 April 1827. Some sessions list those present. Names of those received for membership are also recorded. Membership lists appear on pages 5-26 and are detailed and well organized.
