Biographical Note

Sallie Fisher and her husband Stephen are listed in the Amish genealogy book "Descendants of Christian Fisher and Other Amish Mennonite Pioneer Families."  Stephen Fisher was born in 1890 and died in 1976.  He was the son of Elias M. Fisher and Malinda King. Scope and Contents

The following description was provided by the seller:"These two manuscript travel diaries present detailed information about Amish communities throughout the United States in the 1940s and 1950.  The diaries were written by a middle-age Amish couple from Honey Brook and Ronks, Pennsylvania:  Stephen King Fisher and Sallie L. Fisher. "People he visited in the Amish communities of Somerset County, Pennsylvania, near the towns of Springs, and Myersdale: Bennie A.
