Richard Turner was a member of the Washington and Lee University Class of 1896. He was a native of Ohio and returned there to work in the public school system. Later he moved to Oregon.
This collection is a personal letter to Master W. O. Bickle of Staunton. Topics mentioned are football, school food, and Thanksgiving break.
