Biographical Information

Sarah Ann Trollinger Trinkle was born on 1 March 1794, the daughter of John Trollinger and Elizabeth Burress of Pulaski County, Virginia. She married Stephen Trinkle in 1810 and had ten children including Elbert Sevier Trinkle, the father of Virginia Governor Elbert Lee Trinkle. Sarah Trinkle died on 25 March 1887 and is buried in the Dublin cemetery in the Trollinger-Trinkle plot.

Scope and Content

The Sarah Ann Trollinger Trinkle ferrotype is partially cased with sustained damage as glass is fused to metal backing. The ferrotype has been scanned and a color print placed in the Trinkle family vertical file.
