Scope and Content

Letter from A. H. D. in Indianapolis to his brother, written December 14, 1861. Letter concerns the writer's wish that his son be admitted to the Virginia Military Institute without paying the customary fees because he has suffered enough for Virginia. Also mentions problems in sending mail to the Confederate states. Transcript available.
