Founded in 2008, the Blue Ridge Discovery Center is a non-profit environmental organization whose purpose, according to its website, is to inspire "creativity, discovery, and critical thinking through interest-driven and hands on activities focused on the Blue Ridge Mountains." In promoting conservation and creativity, the center collaborates with regional educational and outdoor institutions.
This collection contains educational/informational materials published by Blue Ridge Discovery Center, a non-profit organization dedicated to hands-on learning opportunities promoting environmental awareness among the communities in Virginia's Blue Ridge Mountains. Within the collection is a poster published by the center in 2011 titled "The Aquatic Macroinvertebrates of Wilson Creek, Grayson County, VA."
