Biographical/Historical Information
J. Thompson Brown, J. B. Watkins, Robert Beverley, and Meade Ferguson signed the affidavit. Oaths were sworn to and subscribed before John Crosby, N.P. According to the 1921 Annual Catalog, the terms of these four were all to expire on June 30, 1924. John Thompson Brown was rector of the Board of Visitors.
Scope and Content Information
Sworn affadavit signed by the members of the Board of Visitors of the Virginia Agricultural and Mechanical College and Polytechnic Institute that they are citizens of the Commonwealth of Virginia and that they will faithfully and impartially discharge their duties. A second oath indicates that the undersigned have not sent or accepted challanges to duel in the past and will not do so in the future. Affadavit was signed October 8, 1920.
