Biographical/Historical Information

Alvira Hazzard came to the Virginia Normal and Industrial Institute in 1922 as an Instructor of High School Chemistry. Ms. Hazzard was a graduate of The Wooster (Mass.) State Normal School in 1921. She was at Virginia State University for only one year.

Scope and Content Information

A fine letter detailing Ms Hazzard's experience at Virginia State. Topics in the letter concern students, workloads, athletic events, and the overall atmosphere of the campus.
