Scope and Content Information
Washington Irving, Paris, France, to noted English publisher John Murray, London, England, concerning the publication of his works The Sketchbookand "Arabian tales" which later became either The Conquest of Granada(1829) or Tales of the Alhambra(1832). He indicates that he has another plan proposed during which he can spend time on original writing, and mentions the new series of the Curiosities of Literature. Postmarked integral address leaf in Irving's hand.
