Scope and Content Information
This collection consists of the manuscript of "Country Full of Swedes", a short story by Erskine Caldwell concerning prejudice in America, narrated by the character Stanley, who comments "...Jim and Mrs. Frost are scared to death of Swedes and other people from the old country; Jim and Mrs. Frost and people like that never stop to think that all of us Americans came over from the old countries, one time or another, to begin with."
