Scope and Content Information
This addition to the Joseph M. Bruccoli Great War Collection consists of an American flag, 36 x 28.5 cm., with 48 stars, belonging to Jean Holliday and used to celebrate the conclusion of World War I. The flag was waved by Holliday in Wilmington, Delaware, when two years old, first on November 9, 1918, the "false Armistice," and then again on the real Armistice date of November 11, 1918.
