These items were given to the University of Virginia Library by Matthew J. Bruccoli, Columbia, South Carolina, on January 13, 1994.

Scope and Content Information

These additions to the Joseph M. Bruccoli Great War Collection consist of a World War I campaign medal belonging to Joseph M. Bruccoli with bars for the eight battles in which he fought; his draft registration certificate in the Bronx, N.Y., 1917; his ticket for meals and lifeboat station aboard the Carpathia ; issues of Sea Life , v. 1, no. 15 and 16, published on the U.S. Harrisonburg ; a photograph of Poincare decorating General Petain; and a wall banner produced by the Disabled American Veterans. Issues of Sea Life (Published on board the USS Harrisonburg) have been separately cataloged as: D501 .S43.
