Scope and Content Information
This addition to the Bruccoli Great War Collection consists of an envelope flap with the name of Ernest Hemingway and his return address at the base hospital in Milan, Italy, in Hemingway's hand, where he was a patient after being wounded by the exploding fragments of a trench mortar on July 8, 1918. He remained in the hospital until his convalescent leave ended in early fall.
