These items were given to the Library on March 15, 1991, by Matthew J. Bruccoli of Columbia, South Carolina.

Scope and Content Information

This addition to the Joseph M. Bruccoli Great War Collection consists of 17 items, ca. 1914-1918, including ten stereoptican cards of the Indian Expeditionary Force at Sea, Belgian Howitzers Defending Antwerp, the Flight from Antwerp by River Scheldt, Artillery in Action Near Compiegne, the Great Struggle for the Chateau of Mondement, English Siege Trenches in the Aisne District, A Lull in the Firing, Aisne Valley, British Artillery in Action on the Aisne, French Infantry on the Banks of the Oise, and a French Battery Going into Action on the Aisne; a patriotic United States flag tin pin; an United States General Hospital No. 23 Dinner Menu for December 25, 1918; and five postcards re World War I, including "Repairing a Man of War," "Pals," "Playing Cards," American Red Cross Card, "American troops marching through Paris," and a photograph postcard of four American soldiers.
