Biographical Information
Lucy Gay Johnston attended Radford College from 1934-1936, and later lived in Giles County.
Scope and Content
The Lucy Gay Johnston Collection contains various clippings and papers from her time at Radford College, a sampling of which are her diploma from 1936, her student handbook dated 1935-1940, and her program from her commencement graduation in 1938. Articles from this collection also include various papers from Giles County such as a Giles County School handbook for the 1972-1973 school year, and Telephone Directories for the year 1964 for New Castle and the town of Pembrook in 1993. Photographs are also included in this collection some of which are labeled "Old House Photos. " This collection also includes two scrapbooks created by Mrs. Johnston which are entitled The "Graduate's Happy Days, " and "My Memory Book. "
