The "Koch-Recepte" German Recipe Book was acquired by Special Collections prior to 2008.
The processing, arrangement, and description of the "Koch-Recepte" German Recipe Book commenced and was completed in March 2009.
This collection consists of a recipe book handwritten in German. The book is broken up into sections, but only about one-third contain recipes. Most of the recipes are in the "Backwerk" or "Baking" section. Some examples of recipes include: "Kartoffelsalat" (potato salad), "Grießklöß (semolina dumplings), and several versions of "Pfefferkuchen" or "Pfeffernüssen" (spice cookies). Also, there are two recipes in English and one in German stuck in among the pages.
