Abstract
A letter from William J. Pyewell, a Union solider, to his mother. This letter was sent from his unit's encampment at Bolivar
where winter quarters were being established which he noted by mentioning the construction of bakery ovens. He says that he
is not to be discharged before the end of the war which he thinks can not last more than three years. He also says that he
will send part of his pay to her since they are expecting the paymaster and that he will ask for a furlough soon.
