Biographical / Historical

Phi Sigma Delta began at Columbia University in 1910. The Upsilon Chapter was active at West Virginia University from May 7, 1927-1962. Its colors were purple and white and its flower was a white carnation.

During the years it was active, the fraternity sponsored numerous activities including dinners and dances, among others.

While the members referenced throughout this collection are from different classes, they have maintained connections via letters, e-mails, and reunions.

(Information was acquired from existing collection material and copies of "Monticola" obtained from the Internet Archive.)
