Abstract
Civil war memoirs of Isaac W. Scherich of Greene County, Pennsylvania (1844-1928), who served with the 18th Regiment Pennsylvania
Volunteer Cavalry from 1862 to 1865. Scherich is spelled Scherick in official military records. Memoirs consist of a photocopy
of the original typescript, which describes the history of Scherich's regiment and his involvement in various Civil War battles,
including Hanover, Gettysburg, and Opequan Creek. Memoirs also recount Scherich's personal history and life after the war.
