Abstract
This daybook chronicles the barter and cash dealings of Lewisburg merchant Jacob Skiles in the years of early settlement in
Greenbrier County. Skiles, a land speculator, notes some of his land dealings as well as his business contacts in the Shenandoah
Valley and Pennsylvania. Some of the most prominent settlers of the Greenbrier Valley are mentioned.
