This letter from A. B. Renker, a cotton broker from Lynchburg, Va., to Samuel G. Murphy is about a disagreement about the price and quality of cotton that Mr. Murphy had provided Mr. Renker. A. B. Renker states that the cotton that was provided by Mr. Murphy was inferior and the person who had recieved the cotton was refusing to pay at the price set by Mr. Murphy. Renker informed Mr. Murphy that the men who received the cotton won't pay unless the price is lowered.
