Crown Cotton Mills was a textile mill in Dalton, Georgia.
J. Douglas Flamming was a visiting history professor at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in 1984 to 1985.
The collection contains oral history tapes of employees at the Crown Cotton Mills in Dalton, a textile town in the Appalachian Valley of northwest Georgia. Most of mill hands interviewed worked for Crown from the 1920s through 1960s, and all interviews were conducted by VT professor J. Douglas Flamming.
