Biographical / Historical

Fallschimjager were the paratroop branch of the German Luftwaffe before and during World War II. They were the first German paratroopers to be committed in large-scale airborne operations.

Content Description

Comprises a photographic record of Wehrmacht Gebirgsjagerregiment (German Army Mountain Troops) and Luftwaffe Fallschirmjager training in and around the Berchtesgaden and Obersalzburg area in Bavaria prior to the second World War.
